Welcome November & Step-By-Step WordPress Tutorial

Happy November 1st! AND just like that, five months have passed since I last blogged here. Life events and other obligations had to take priority over blogging, but I am endeavoring to re-enter the blogosphere in this new month of November and put more effort into being consistent at it.

I am also, for the first time, joining the non-fiction alternative to NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) that takes place every November. It is called NaNonFiWriMo (National Non-Fiction Writing Month) and I’m hoping to finally get my “fire story” written, especially since the 30th anniversary of the event is coming up in March 2015.

For this month here on this blog, I’m combining ideas from the Ultra Blog Challenge and the Article Writing Challenge, so I’ll have a daily writing prompt to help focus my thoughts and use this thematic posting idea:

Monday: Product Review
Tuesday: Top 10 List
Wednesday: Guest Blog Post
Thursday: Infographic
Friday: Three Things I Completed Today
Saturday: Step-by-Step Tutorial
Sunday: Video Blog

So since this November 1st happens to be a Saturday, I’m starting off with sharing a tutorial I discovered (no connection to this personally) for something that seems really appropriate here: How to Make a Website Properly with WordPress. I hope you enjoy it and benefit from it if you have ever thought about creating your own website here on WordPress.

So do you have any special plans for November, aside from celebrating Thanksgiving when it arrives? Are you doing any blog challenges right now? How about either NaNoWriMo or NaNonFiWriMo?

I sincerely wish you the best of success! I’m still getting my feet wet with the whole blogging thing (started Oct 1) so all the tips are helpful. Thank you for sharing!

I am doing both NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo. I think your plan to do NaNonFiWriMo in connection with that life changing event is an excellent idea and I wish you the best. (I am more a non fiction type of person so next year – who knows?)

Good luck with your goals and completing your non fiction NaNoWriMo. I’m doing my own version of NaNoWriMo this month. I’d just like to complete the first draft of one of the stories I’m currently working on. It’s been sitting on my computer for far too long.
