We Interrupt This Series for a Special Announcement

Welcome back to my blog series, now entitled Preventing Procrastination, Prizing Prioritizing, and Pursuing Purpose!  As I mentioned in my previous post, When Procrastination Becomes a Stronghold, I took a few days off, away from the computer, to work on priority projects, as well as enjoy some family time.

I’m working on catching up posts, and plan to get caught up this week. For now, however — for what would have been the equivalent of an Aug. 10th post —  I want to interrupt my series for a special announcement:

This series is a work in progress; it is also a bit of a personal journey, combining a confession of a recognized character flaw and ongoing struggle, with a strategy to overcome this weakness. It is my hope that by sharing these sometimes painful revelations, others who stop by to read will find some inspiration of their own to overcome their own areas of procrastination or other character flaws.

Part of my time away involved “practicing what I preach” — so to speak — and working on some high priority projects that I had been guilty of putting off for far too long. That, and my revelation in last night’s post, brought me to the decision of modifying my series to discuss prioritizing as a bridge between overcoming procrastination and pursuing purpose.

So I’ll pick up on that topic of “Prizing Prioritizing” in the next post!

It’s great that you’re using your actual experiences to benefit your bloggers. Just because you make a plan doesn’t mean you have to stick to it, especially when life changes things.

What a wonderful epiphany. Yes we must first have a plan in place in order to tackle procrastination. It also helps to have a goal or priority that you want to work on. If you start with one at a time it really allows you to laser focus and then you can become a goal or priority knocker outer.

It’s quite admirable that you have been able to identify a trait that you want to change and then create a strategy to make that change happen. And it’s inspiring that you are sharing your journey, which will also help with accountability! Best of luck to you!
