October is for Overcoming Obstacles

Happy October 1st!

I’m not sure what happened to the second half of August or the whole month of September since I last blogged – other than the fact that my husband and I have been involved in some major home improvement projects …

AND …

I became a grandmother for the first time on September 12th, when my daughter Joy and son-in-law Cory had a beautiful baby girl named Chloe Lyvia! Yes, I’m biased, but she is adorable!

Other than that, though, I’m seeing a disturbing trend in my blogging efforts. Lots of good intentions, starting and stopping, but never quite maintaining any kind of consistency in blogging or completing blog challenges.

Well, I really need to overcome these obstacles, which are some combination of poor time management, distraction, procrastination, and simply feeling overwhelmed with too much going on. Time to simplify, de-clutter, reorganize, and prioritize – things I have concluded during the home improvement process, making piles in the middle of each room while we painted the walls and ceilings, and now having to go through all that *stuff* rather than just putting it back in place.

So I have dubbed October as the month to Overcome Obstacles. I’m starting the month by joining the Ultimate Blog Challenge–again–and I’m determined to accomplish a full month of blogging!

Who’s with me? What obstacles do you need to overcome? What is your blogging strategy?

Must.Overcome.Obstacles.

Thanks, Patricia – and early congrats to you! I am going to ask my daughter if it’s OK to post a picture of Chloe so I can gloat over her! šŸ˜‰

I’m with you. Look forward to reading as your month evolves. Congrats on the grand baby. There is nothing like a grand baby to open our hearts wider than we ever thought possible.
