Pursuing Purpose: Defining Pursuit – Part 1 of 3

We have covered preventing procrastination and prizing prioritizing, as well as defining purpose. NOW we can move on to addressing the three variations in defining the “pursuing” part of pursuing our purpose, as the third segment of my series on Preventing Procrastination, Prizing Prioritizing, and Pursuing Purpose.

This post is about the first of those three variations in meaning:

**To Pursue: to follow and try

to catch or capture (someone or something)

for usually a long distance or time.**

I think this quote is especially relevant for this series. As we follow and try to “capture” our purpose in life, it isn’t something that’s going to happen immediately. It’s an effort that requires one step at a time. Each step forward on our journey brings us that much closer to attaining our goals, and capturing or fulfilling our purpose in life.

“I don’t care how much power,

brilliance or energy you have;

if you don’t harness it

and focus it on a specific target,

and hold it there,

you’re never going to accomplish

as much as your ability warrants.”

~Zig Ziglar

So what do you think?

Do you agree with this definition as it relates to pursuing our purpose? Can you relate?

Are you moving forward toward achieving your goals and purpose in life?

    This is so apropos. Many of us tend to spin and spin our wheels without the focus of what we want in front of us. Find that focus and strive to do what needs to be done, this minute, this hour, this day!
